Beanworks

Beanworks, recently acquired by the massive mailing and automation company Quadient, is specifically designed to bring multi-entity AP automation to the mid-market. Many accounting software packages struggle when a single parent company owns ten different subsidiaries, requiring the accounting team to log in and out of ten different databases to process invoices. Beanworks centralizes this perfectly. An AP clerk can log into a single Beanworks dashboard and see the invoices for the parent company, the European subsidiary, and the new startup acquisition all in one place. They can process the invoices, and Beanworks handles the complex routing to ensure the data pushes back into the correct underlying ERP instance for each specific subsidiary. The interface is highly visual, utilizing a clean Kanban-style board to track invoices as they move from "New" to "In Progress" to "Awaiting Approval" and finally "Paid." It integrates very cleanly with standard mid-market accounting tools like Sage 100, QuickBooks Desktop, and Xero. It provides a solid, highly organized workflow for holding companies, franchise owners, and property managers.
