Create accessible React apps with speed.

About Chakra UI

Chakra UI is an incredibly beautiful, highly aggressive disruptor that completely exploded onto the React scene by solving a massive frustration with MUI: "Customization Pain." While MUI's components are incredibly powerful, trying to force them to look *different* than Google's Material Design is notoriously agonizing. Chakra UI was engineered specifically for absolute, frictionless, rapid styling freedom. Its absolute biggest differentiator is "Style Props." In legacy libraries, if a developer wants to make a button red with a 4px margin, they have to write a separate, massive CSS file. In Chakra, the developer simply types '<Button colorScheme="red" mt={4} />'. The CSS is passed mathematically directly into the React component via props, allowing for terrifyingly fast, in-line visual development. Because of its extreme focus on developer speed, its "Accessibility (a11y) Foundation" is matched only by its aesthetics. It doesn't just look good; it mathematically forces the developer to build accessible sites. If a developer uses a Chakra modal, Chakra automatically manages the keyboard focus trapping and ARIA screen-reader labels, ensuring the app is legally compliant for visually impaired users with zero extra effort.
