InformaCast

InformaCast (developed by Singlewire Software) is a highly formidable, deeply technical emergency notification platform that dominates a very specific, highly critical segment of the market: deep integration with on-premise IP telephony and overhead paging systems. While platforms like AlertMedia focus heavily on sending text messages to mobile phones, InformaCast made its massive reputation by turning every single Cisco IP phone, overhead speaker, and desktop computer in a massive hospital or manufacturing plant into a highly synchronized emergency broadcast network. The core differentiator of InformaCast is its unparalleled ability to bridge the gap between legacy physical infrastructure and modern mobile communication. During an active shooter or chemical spill, a facility manager can push a single button (or dial a specific code on a desk phone). InformaCast instantly triggers an incredibly loud, blaring audio alarm and pre-recorded voice message out of every single overhead speaker in the building, simultaneously takes over every desktop computer screen, rings every IP desk phone, and blasts SMS messages to employees who are off-site. This multi-modal, infrastructure-heavy approach is absolutely critical in environments where employees cannot look at their cell phones (like a loud, sterile manufacturing floor or a surgical operating room). Furthermore, InformaCast integrates deeply with panic buttons, IoT sensors (automatically triggering an alert if a chemical sensor detects an ammonia leak), and access control systems. For massive facilities that require highly physical, deeply integrated on-premise alerting combined with modern mobile reach, InformaCast is the industry standard.
