Invoice2go (recently acquired by the massive financial giant Bill.com) is heavily optimized for a very specific use case: the "Mobile First" field service worker. It is designed for the landscaper, the mobile dog groomer, or the independent HVAC technician who does not own a desktop computer and runs their entire business from the front seat of a pickup truck. Its entire architecture is based on rapid mobile deployment. A plumber finishes fixing a sink, pulls out their iPhone, taps a pre-saved "Sink Repair" line item, and instantly hands the phone to the homeowner to sign the screen with their finger. The app immediately emails the PDF invoice and allows the homeowner to pay via credit card on the spot, drastically improving cash flow. It also features basic, highly simplified expense tracking. The plumber can use their phone camera to snap a photo of a $50 receipt from Home Depot. Invoice2go OCRs the receipt and saves it to the project, ensuring the plumber doesn't lose the physical paper before tax season, completely replacing the legendary "shoebox full of receipts."
