ManagerPlus (now part of the massive Eptura brand portfolio) is a heavyweight Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system. It is specifically designed to manage high-value, highly complex fleets of assets. If a company operates fifty long-haul semi-trucks, twenty excavators, and ten street sweepers, ManagerPlus is the system used to ensure they don't break down on the highway. It is deeply integrated with GPS telematics systems (like Geotab or Verizon Connect). While basic asset tracking software just notes that "Truck #12 is in Dallas," ManagerPlus pulls the live odometer reading directly from the truck's engine computer. When the odometer crosses exactly 50,000 miles, the software automatically orders the necessary filters and schedules a preventative maintenance Work Order for the shop. It also manages the complex financial lifecycle of heavy equipment. It tracks the initial purchase price, the cost of all replacement parts over five years, and the labor hours spent fixing it, allowing a CFO to run a "Total Cost of Ownership" report. The software can mathematically prove when a piece of machinery is costing more to repair than it is worth, signaling that it is time to sell it at auction.
