Microsoft Bot Framework

The Microsoft Bot Framework operates in the exact same heavyweight, developer-centric universe as Google Dialogflow, but it is heavily optimized for massive enterprise corporations that are already deeply entrenched in the Microsoft Azure and Office 365 ecosystems. It heavily leverages LUIS (Language Understanding Intelligent Service), which is Microsoft's direct competitor to Dialogflow's NLP engine. LUIS is incredibly powerful for parsing complex enterprise data. An employee can type into Microsoft Teams, "Who is the project manager for the Alpha release and what is their phone number?" LUIS parses the intent, queries the Azure Active Directory, and returns the exact answer instantly. Its absolute biggest differentiator is its "Write Once, Run Anywhere" deployment. A C# or Node.js developer writes the core logic of the bot a single time. The Bot Framework then automatically translates and deploys that exact same bot to Microsoft Teams, Slack, Facebook Messenger, SMS (via Twilio), and a website widget simultaneously, completely eliminating duplicate coding efforts.
