Mobile Heartbeat (famously acquired by the massive HCA Healthcare network) is a fiercely operational, highly specific platform that heavily targets the "Bedside Nurse and the Shared Device." While doctors often carry their own personal iPhones, a hospital ward has a cart of 30 shared "Zebra" or "Spectralink" ruggedized Android phones that nurses grab at the start of a 12-hour shift. Its absolute biggest differentiator is "Dynamic Shift Provisioning." A nurse grabs a random rugged smartphone from the charging rack, opens Mobile Heartbeat, and scans their ID badge. The software instantly configures that specific phone to become "The ICU Bed 4 Nurse Phone." Any calls or alerts meant for the nurse assigned to Bed 4 are mathematically routed to that exact physical device for the next 12 hours. It heavily integrates with "Telephony and PBX."
