Schoology (acquired by the massive PowerSchool empire) is the incredibly powerful, highly strategic leviathan that completely dominates the "K-12 Education LMS" market. Canvas and Blackboard are built for adults. Schoology mathematically engineered its architecture to look and feel exactly like a social media network (like Facebook). It is the absolute weapon of choice for massive K-12 school districts that need a highly engaging, intuitive platform that a 3rd grader and a high school senior can both use flawlessly. Its signature feature is "The Social Learning Interface." In legacy LMS platforms, discussions are hidden in menus. In Schoology, the main dashboard is a mathematical "News Feed." The teacher posts a homework assignment, and it mathematically appears in the feed. Students can "Like" the post, comment on it, and attach a Google Doc directly to the feed.
