If the camera pans away from a character and pans back, the character still looks the same. Shadows fall correctly based on the light source. It understands how the physical world operates, making the resulting footage feel incredibly cinematic and grounded, rather than like a chaotic dream sequence. While currently in limited release and primarily targeted at researchers and select Hollywood directors, the implications of the software are staggering. It promises to democratize high-end B-roll generation and complex visual effects. A solo indie filmmaker could theoretically write a prompt to generate a sweeping helicopter shot over a fantasy landscape—a shot that would normally cost tens of thousands of dollars in drone rentals or CGI rendering time—and have it ready in minutes.
