Spinnaker

Spinnaker is the terrifyingly massive, incredibly complex leviathan of Continuous Delivery, originally engineered by Netflix to mathematically deploy thousands of microservices across multiple global cloud providers simultaneously without ever causing a disruption. While Jenkins is great for building code, Spinnaker is the absolute apex predator for executing highly complex, high-risk deployments to massive, global production environments. Its absolute biggest differentiator is "The Multi-Cloud Deployment Engine." A massive corporation might have servers in AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure. Spinnaker natively understands the mathematical API structure of all of them. A release manager can build a pipeline that says: "Deploy this new code to 10% of users in AWS US-East. If the error rate stays below 1%, automatically roll it out to Google Cloud in Europe." Because it was built by Netflix, its "Safe Deployment Strategies (Canary)" are legendary. Deploying new code is terrifying. Spinnaker executes mathematical "Canary Analysis." It deploys the new code to just 1% of users. It then mathematically compares the CPU usage, memory, and error logs of the new code against the old code using deep statistical analysis (via Kayenta). If the new code degrades performance by even 2%, Spinnaker automatically triggers an instantaneous rollback.
