VMware Aria

VMware Aria (famously known for years as vRealize before a massive rebrand, and now owned by the massive Broadcom empire) is the absolute titan of the "Hybrid Cloud." While startups live entirely in AWS, massive global banks have billions of dollars invested in their own private, on-premise data centers (running VMware). Aria bridges the terrifying gap between the legacy basement servers and the public cloud. Its signature feature is its "Universal Cloud Blueprinting." An IT Director at a massive bank doesn't want developers manually buying servers. The Director uses Aria to create a secure, compliant "Blueprint." When a developer needs a server, they click one button in the Aria catalog. Aria automatically figures out if it's cheaper to deploy that server in the bank's private basement or in the public AWS cloud, and instantly builds it. It heavily dominates "Capacity Optimization." Aria constantly analyzes the massive, complex math of the global infrastructure. It tells the IT department: "You have 500 'Zombie' servers running in Azure that haven't been used in 3 months. If you shut them down, and move these 50 databases to your private data center, you will mathematically save $1.2 Million this year."
